Wasn't my choice to be American, thank you very much ;) I adore the shirt.

As a Brit, I'd like everyone to know that liking these crap shows doesn't make you British, it just means you have poor taste. Dr.Who is for children, Harry Potter books are incredibly derivative and the films contained some of the worst acting ever and Sherlock Holmes (the new version) is riddled with inaccuracies and I'm sure has Conan Doyle spinning in his grave. If liking that stuff is what it means to be British, then I'm emmigrating!

As a Brit I'd like everyone to know... what the Hell?

1) Doctor Who is not for children. It's a family show, ergo designed with both older and younger audiences in mind.
2) Even if it was, why would that automatically disqualify it from being a good show?
3) Sherlock is a beautiful adaptation that keeps the spirit of the characters alive while doing whole new things with them. It has its problems, but the inaccuracies are not one of them.
4) Yeah... Harry Potter's bloody awful. I'd rather see, I dunno, Jeeves and Wooster on there.

I personally love every single one of these shows - maybe Sherlock a bit less than the others. The problem is really the "British at heart" slogan that seems to piss every British people off. You should see it as a praise, people are merely recognising English creativity instead of despising it... Honestly people, just chill it's just a t-shirt...
I actually read the Hitchhiker's Guide and maybe it was a bad translation but I thought it to be bloody awful. But I agree about Jeeves and Wooster.

All of these comments aren't fair to the artist of this design. If you don't like the shirt or the fandoms, don't purchase the shirt; it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Being American was not something I could have chosen, but it's not something I'd change either. I love being American and I think it helps me love British shows and the culture more. If it were my own, I don't think I'd appreciate it as much. Everything about this shirt it beautiful and lovely and it is not okay to bash it just because you don't agree. (I also would have loved it with Merlin on it, but without it I still adore the shirt.)
Being British means something different to each person, so just because you don't see it as loving these particular shows, doesn't mean other people don't. You are not the ultimate authority of all things British.
Again, I love this shirt and I'm so glad it was finally made. Thank you angicitarocks for this shirt. I don't have it yet, but it's by far my favorite.

i, for example, am NOT British but German. And wow, lucky me! These three depicted shows/movies are my absolute favourites. i am British at <3 ;D and i will wear it with pride. even in Germany. Or maybe especially in Germany :D
