this is a Calvin and Hobbes inspired shirt. With this shirt design, i want to give a fan-shirt that doesn't come too close to the characters, but that is close enough to connect fans of Calvin and Hobbes to the memories and imagination of the comic strip.
All while honoring Bill Watterson's desire to not have the strip commercialized.
With this design, i hope to simultaneously references an iconic element of the comic strip, but also to keep it a generic enough concept that many boys did as a kid, when a cardboard box and their imagination were all you needed to fill your weekend...

@ alphahotel_94 true... should have made this a corrugated duplicator... good catch...don't know where my head was.
@elbow83 went with the red shirt because Calvin always wears a striped red shirt. it looks slick on blue, but i felt red kinda was an additional knod... probably over-thought it.

actually right now its a transmogrifier. Its a duplicator when its on its side and time machine is face up, but the transmogrifier is always upside down. Ill never forget calvin crawling out from under it as a miniature hobbes. youve still got my vote even though its incorrect. still want.
