Lord Vader + Pink Floyd + Dark Side of the Moon + cough ..umm..let's say..chilling in my backyard looking at the clouds while it rains = "Darth Side of the Moon", part two of my Vader Trilogy.
I had to simplify the rainbow down to 3 colours for printing, but I added various ships/fighters in the red band, a whole bunch of Jedi/Sith fighting in the yellow band and a whole heap of storm and clone troopers in the violet band to compensate. Trust me, it'll make you want to look closer!

Hi fattymattyweasel, I see your points, but:
Any friend/person walking past who thinks you don't know what the cover looks like should get a life. This isn't a copy of the cover, or even a mashup, it's more a sort of re-imaging (as Hollywood likes to say about remakes) and a repurposing for the star wars universe.
It's designed to print in a max of 4 colours instead of the original 7, which means qwertee and other similar websites wouldn't print it.
I picked the colours that are the top, middle and bottom of the original spectrum of the album. Technically the middle of the original is 2 colours so I picked the one I thought gave the best contrast. Add the white of the hemet and you have 4 colours.
The spectrum is also the split of many key ships from the ST universe, the key Jedi/Sith battles and some different types of troopers in the bottom bar,
A rainbow coming from the deathstar is not only obvious and simple but done to death. Vader is the star of the series to me, not the deathstar, so it was designed with him in mind. I haven't seen any design like mine incorporating the characters into the design instead of just copying the Floyd spectrum and saying "hey look at this! Ain't I clever!" I think mine is a bit different from that.
The original cover had a white triangle showing the beam split in the prism, I didn't feel that would work with my design, so I changed it to have the colours 'bleed' out of the helmet along the side and across the ridge of the helmet. That way I don't obscure the details of his face/helmet.
I have a print of this design available at r*d b*bbl* which I wear, and amongst huge Floyd fan friends of mine the only reaction I've ever had is "hey, that's the dsotm cover right but with that star wars guy? Cool." They're not ST fans obviously :) they seriously couldn't care less about number of colours and why I changed it.
So now you know why it is the way it is. I designed it for me. I wear the tee for me. I'm a fan of Floyd and ST, if you like it, vote for it and wear it proudly, and screw everyone else. :)

Yeah, I get it, and I can visualize it pretty easily, but it's kinda convoluted and anyone who is angry at mine would surely have a freakout at yours if they're Floyd fans :)

I've seen this idea loads of times before (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vader+pink+floyd), there are t-shirts all over ebay with a similar design using the full colour spectrum, as per the album cover. Personally I think the joke is lost using the reduced colour scheme, even if you did add the silhouettes. Sorry, not for me.
I hope your Vader 68 Comeback design comes up, I really like that one.
The thing is that while the pic od Vadar is v.good, the best bit of the tee is the detail in the three rays coming off his head (genius btw). But unless someone is right in front of me, they're not gonna see them :( It's a shame that they're so small - they're SO good that if they'd been clearer, I would have bought the tee despite the fact that I freakin' hate Pink Floyd :P
I like that the detail is small, and a number of people have remarked at their surprise at discovering it on closer inspection, so that puts a smile on my face too. And you hate Floyd? Whaaaaat? But...Hmmm...I'll forgive you this time, but only because you considered buying.. but boy oh boy... next time...
