BACK TO THE FUTURE / CROSSED WITH A HIGH LEVEL PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.
function timeTravel() was inspired from the desire to study but the need to relive my childhood and what better way than to break out the delorean and dust off the flux capacitor.
I am currently studying at LIT Tipperary attending 2nd Year of Higher Certificate In Computing. When i grow up I would like to be a programmer or a spaceman its all abit up in the air at the moment.
Perfect-ly You :-)
It doesnt really make sense that you set 'x' and then compare it. It's ALWAYS going to be '1.21'... you've just set it to be that. You dont need that if at all... just... doesnt make sense >.<
Do you mean to set x to 1.21 and THEN pass it in to the function? You might need to switch your top two lines around.
Other than that, nice idea :)
My comments:
/
* No proper indentation ... Yikes! :-(
*
* Excessive useless comments ... Yikes! :-(
*
* Comments after statements ... Yikes! :-(
*
* Java ... Yikes! :-(
*
* Nice try, but it needs work if you want people who actually appreciate good
* programming to buy this...

Could you make some suggestions on how to tidy this up so as to make it suitable?
As per Qwertees Posting Above, if anyone feels like giving me input there is a thread on boards.
And update code that addresses
1. its 1.21 gigawatts
2. the fact it was always 1.21 gigawatts in the method (thanks square123)
x = 1.21; // 1.21GW or 1.21X10^9
function timeTravel(double x){
if (x=1.21){
if (fluxCapacitor == true){
whatDate(date);
}
}
} //close timeTravel
function whatDate(String date){
this.date = date;
if (timeCircuits==true){
//timeCircuits(date); method to be written in 2014
} //close if
else{
System.out.println("Time Circuits Not Powered On: ");
}
} //close whatDate
As for the comments posted above the extra comments are down to wanting not only programmers to be able to follow the flow of logic, And indentation is down to the fact that up until lately all my code was written in textpad rather than Eclipse. As for the Java Yikes its written in Java as that is my main language, and while there are many others to choose from none will actually make the delorean go 88miles an hour at the moment, altho Phython might lol
thanks for the feedback

Nice Job. When this tshirt hit 88 votes per minute you're gonna see some serious nerds XD :P
Ah class, where can I get 200 of em!!
them there t's would sell like "hot cakes", and il take all I can get of any anti-database ones
great coding Ed, top class, iv no doubt its working because I wrote a similar piece a while back and within 2.7 nano-seconds after compile time I was there..........but never where I wanted to be, no, always 12 to 15 years off course and about 6k miles off too. found the problem too!! keep ur radio frequency variable (x) below 1Ghz and above 3Ghz, and il tell ya why. once u hit the 1.5Ghz to 2.4Ghz ur tuning in on the zigbee technology frequency, and thats assembly territory, very messy, u dont wanna go there...... thats actually me there on the right, the ears got a right roastin hittin the 2.4Ghz frequency. as I said buddy excellent coding, but just, tweak your variable!!!
Really great design!
Just thought I'd give you some feedback;

Not saying this is "the right way" but it's how I personally would've done it :)
Good luck, really hope this gets printed!
Was speaking with Qwertee: Its getting printed :) - finalised design including indentation, and a try catch around input.

Does the shirt come with a compiler?
1st thing I've bought off here. Instantly wanted it.
Why would you first initialize x=1.21 and then inside the if, set it again to 1.21? don't you mean if ( x == 1.21) ... ?
And on the line
System.out.println("Great Scott...
You never close double-quotes of the string! (well, at least not where you intended).
I'm sorry, but I wouldn't wear such a bad coded tee.
Interesting idea as a rough draft.
x at the top needs a datatype
x in if statement uses the assign operator instead of equals
whatDate method should be private or protected, otherwise People can timeTravel without 1.21GW or a flux capacitor
Catch needs parentheses and something to catch
String is missing double quotes at the end
Doesn't compile due to syntax errors
if(timeCircuits == true) ? Urgh.
Nice idea, bad execution. Your code wouldn't compile with how you wrote it.
Next time work on your syntax.
Thanks for trying, but I think I'll pass on this one.
I was really excited about this tee, and I adore the idea, but I know if I buy it my friends will point out if (x=1.21) and probably if(timeCircuits == true).
All they'd need to be is if(x==1.21) and if(timeCircuits), qwertee, I don't suppose there's any chance of tweaking those two things between now and when it's printed? If so I'm there for a buy...
(Oh, and that string missing a double quote near the end...)

i love the 1.21 G(J)IGA WATTS reference :)
Just noticed a typo:
System.out.println("Great Scott: Something's Gone Wrong);
should be
System.out.println("Great Scott: Something's Gone Wrong");
(i.e. missing quote)
