I admit, it was my "fault" (amongst other voters), because I thought it would be more fitting not to look like a toddler :) Also a "dark" movie like Donnie Darko doesn't really fit onto a facebook-blue shirt. Well, it's all a question of taste.
But one question: If "we all voted for Royal or Light Blue", why is it charcoal then? Did you actually count the votes or would you admit this might just be a case of subjective perception? Anyway, sorry that you didn't get what you wanted. Maybe ask the creator for the vector-file to create your own shirt or something. Saludos!

Charcoal won the vote. Royal Blue + Light Blue might have more combined votes, but Charcoal was the most most voted for single colour!
