Not H2O ?

midnightnoms

H2O is a molecule, and this shirt lists the atoms. :)

Yeah, shouldn't it say process?

Popbee

Pardon my english, it will be corrected too !

I personally would rather it was in percentage (much like ingredients are usually shown on food products)

Also: The cumulative total weighs more than I do, so I wouldn't be able to wear it!

And 5th line down: "Fluor"? Is that supposed to be Fluorine?

1 year, 10 months ago • Quote
Popbee

The mistake comes from the french language, which is not the same as the english version. Look :

French :
Fluorine is a molecule : CaF2
Fluor is an atom : F

English :
Fluorine is an atom : F
Fluorite is a molecule : CaF2

I can correct it easily. Thanks for your remark.

Making it in percentage could have been a good idea, but I wanted to have a better representation of the mass, not the distribution. So I had to choose a weight, according to the part of each element in the human body.

I give a vote. In pourcentage maybe better.

I know it seems petty, but my wife's a chemist, we were going to order this, but she noticed the 'Brome' instantly. It would bug us too much. Any chance of getting that fixed, so we could order the shirt?

Without kicking something off, i really like this shirt and was about to buy it, but having the 'Evolution Process' bit on it ruined it for me :/ I don't know if there's other religious people on here, but you could have potentionally lost a fair amount of customers. Keep up the great work though!

Qwertee

Thanks, I think we should be able to change it to "Bromine"

That's what it should be, right?

Wonderful Shirt! Popbee you are a Genius! :D

To counter the above comment about the evolution, this shirt is very science oriented and the Evolution line at the end makes it. It's a celebration of the randomness that is the human form and something like 'Made on Earth by God' at the end would have lessened the impact of the shirt overall.

Good design but white is not my preferred choice of cloth colour.

Actually evolution IS a theory. Just like gravity. :)

As much as I love this design, the weird line break after sulfer and occasional 'I' at the beginning are noticeable. Would this be fixed? Thanks!

Great shirt but not on white. Would have gotten it if it was on a different colour.

It makes more sense on white. When was the last time you saw chemical formulae on, say, green paper?

the designer is french, he is also designing tshirts not writing for for some sort of journal, give him a break, maybe you should have got your post checked by a french copy editor so the designer could read it in his native language

Any one notice there is an extra | after iodine? I just noticed it after I bought it :/ :L Oh well by posting this I hope it will get fixed? :)

I love this except for the grammar of the "Made on earth by life, using evolution process" I would have loved if it just said "© Evolution"

As Kronoser pointed out, there is an extra "|" after Iodine.
Also, is "Fluor" supposed to be "Fluorine"?

And % would have been better than kg's as lots of other have pointed out, but thats only a minor thing.

Exactly. Some people are too stubborn to think otherwise. I'm not saying 'believe in God', just don't instantly rule evolution as complete fact, especially considering its innumerable flaws. Anyway, i didn't comment to kick up a fuss, i was only making a point.

As an engineer I love this shirt and am 1 step away... 1 more translation - cesium should be Caesium in English :)

@ neilm. Full agreement, except about the Dr Who bit :)
The shirt really needed some peer review. I keep asking my lovely Chemist to look at it, and she keeps on seeing another mistake. I'm sure most people won't care, but when it's your field of expertise, I guess it's just too annoying. (We have a periodic table tee cozy, and it bugs her that the atomic weights are wrong in a couple of spots...)

I love this idea but if you bring it back can you please change the female shirt to have a total weight more like 60kg. As a girl I wouldn't consider buying a shirt saying 80kg. I'm sure you could check your sales from last time and you would probably find that the female shirts didn't sell much and maybe even the smaller mens sizes.
I would also appreciate it if you had someone check it for mistakes since there has been so many pointed out, there might be more like cesium which should be caesium in English.
"using evolution process" doesn't quite sound right. Maybe it should say 'using evolution' or 'the evolution process'
