I'm sure this is cool to some people, but I have no freaking clue what it is and why it would be cool. Seems to be quite a few like this. There is no way this and many other designs are being voted for more than countless others that make sense to a broader audience.

love totoro but not the green tee :(

Twasadream, google ghibli and do a little reading. Studio Ghibli are extremely well known and loved all over the world. It's normal for something to appeal to a very broad audience and still pass you by.

I don't get it?

chyara: The image (design) is characters from Studio Ghibli's My Neighbour Totoro (see also Hayao Miyazaki). Totoro (big grey & white critter in the middle of the image) is an immensely popular and beloved character.

I love it, but don't really care for the green shirt (although, given who the character is, I understand the choice). It doesn't look as good on the grey shirt either. Needs to be on a darker shirt to make it really pop out.

The main character in the image is Totoro (who regularly carries an umbrella), surrounded by "Soot Sprites". The grinning face at the bottom is the face of the "Cat Bus", which ferries Totoro and friends through the rice patties of rural Japan (which I guess is why they chose green for the color of the shirt). While none of this would make any sense to anyone who hasn't seen the film, "My Neighbor Totoro" is a Miyazaki classic. It's also one of the few Miyazaki films that includes an excellent English dubbed version, released in the US by Disney. If you've never seen the film, you're missing out on one of the greatest animated films ever made.

What that guy said! Except all Miyazaki films have excellent English dubs! Go watch them all, folks! And then buy this tee if you like it! You have 18 hours to comply! More exclamation marks!!

The confusion could all be avoided if people would put in better descr*ptions. All this says is "Hope you like it!"

Granted, if you don't know what it is, you probably aren't going to buy it anyway but I am often curious or think I know but am not sure. References would be most excellent.

no no no, that green color did not go well with that awesome print. How come only obese people get a grey one?

Like others have said would love this tee but the green just isn't my colour.

Feyna! I wear a small in women's and I get a men's small and after I wash it- it shrinks and actually fits perfectly! I like longer sleeves on my t shirts though and not the cap sleeve like sleeves that are usually on women's tees.

The green just ruins the design for me :(
bought a grey version from the use off r*db*bbl* instead, paid a little extra but worth it.

Really great design, but I don't like the green :(

i dont like too short/long sleeves too, it has to be perfect. :P

Got to say this for size. If you ware a 'M' I would get a 'L'. For myself I ware 'M' and 'L' but this time I had to buy an 'XL' in woman's. I LOVE Totoro, and I can't wait for more cool stuff from here! :)
