I think this actually work better than the Hogwarts one. Typography seems a bit better (though still not quite there with the tagline).

Again.. take it for what it's worth but I hope he gets his shirt printed. It really doesn't matter to me and I can tell by your tone, you really like it. That's great. My opinion still stands... I think it's really weird that this popped up so quickly right after my design. As a matter of fact, someone else brought the design to my attention assuming that death saw my design and was shocked that it was a direct follow up. Hey... people seem to like it and that should be all that matters for death. If you would like feedback (death)... fix the bottom line and Mordor. It's not centered and would look much better. I meant no fowl play in the submission or creation of this design. I created this design because I felt it worked well in the Disney parody style I have seen all over shirt sites. I have been seeing several Disney parody designs lately . Like, walk this way, castle castlvanina and a zombie one who's title I don't know. Like my Starbucks it's a frap design I wasn't the first nor will I be the last to parody Starbucks logo. I acctually got this idea after seeing the castlvania Disney mash up. So sorry I didn't mean to copy or upset you. You made a cool concept and I like many others thought it was awesome and ran I. Other directions with it. Like the Obama hope poster style there are a thousand shirts in that style.

Ps. It looks off center. I know. It's not though. It took me forever but ever chunk of it is center but the lines cause An optical illusion. I tried to fix it as best as possible. All layers are dead center in photoshop.

And als famousafterdeatho... it is obviously very similar to warbucks design... and so soon after his was the shirt of the day... sort of bad timing maybe. Its just shirts people, let's all play nice.

I think both the Hogwarts and this one are great, though just because they're both spoofing the Disney logo does not make one an imitation of the other. They are both divergent from the same source and that's where it ends, I feel.

So I know it's blue because that's the Disney thing and all but I was just discussing all the chatter about this shirt with a friend and we both kind of think it might be cool if you did black on a red tee, give it a little more of it's own flare and make it a little more evil kind of like Disney's evil twin or something, just an idea.

love the design!
i think to improve it you could have the tshirt red instead of blue, to better represent TLOTR and contrast the disney design.
Also i think the tagline distracts from the design, either make it less obvious or preferably remove it (its really not neccasery)
And i think the whole design should be moved down a bit, it looks a bit high! :)

I really like Ironwing's idea.. Red on black would look awesome.

no this is my take on the Disney parodies I kept seeing online. in particular Timothy Lim's castlevania shirt made me think of this idea. I like warbucks too.

Voted for you a few weeks back, and today I bought at least one (a second order might've been by accident), and love the design. Disney parodies have been around forever, and obviously every one of them will be similar due to the nature of parody. Congrats.

Also love the "Link" side art -- great sharp parody. Looks very polished.

plus, although the Hogwarts design was slick and well done I didn't buy it because it was missing what your design has -- such a disparity between the Disney trademark, and the evil of Mordor -- put them together and the concept itself is perfect: evil in a happy package. Hogwarts + Disney = two magical, wonderful worlds, which for me, conceptually falls a little flat. There's just too much wonderful for my taste. Again congratulations, and keep up the good work -- hope to get the Link design in the future.

Oooh, I hadn't noticed the "Black Speech" ring scr*pt before. Gotta love the image zoom :) I'll say again this is a great, great shirt and congratulations on the feature :)

tis great, may have to buy, its simpler design then hogwarts which personally I think suits the logo style better.

I was really hoping not to spend any more money until Friday, but seeing this I couldn't hlp myself.
Can't wait for it to arrive now!

Going to buy this later today, I think it's much better than the HP one. Although maybe i'm biased as i'm a majour LOTR fangirl.

The ring text is a nice subtle touch. Such a classic logo will always be ripe for parody.

asin the simplicity of the this design suits the style the best.
